The registration system fairly divides microscope hours among all the users.
Registration is available for 4 weeks in advance.
Reporting the instrument usage, by pressing START and STOP is mandatory.
A session is defined as an individual booking slot (minimum of 1 hour).
Day-time session is defined between 07:00 to 18:00.
New users are limited to day-time sessions.
Users can register for a session up to a total of 8 day-time hours per a day, and up to 24 day-time hours per a week.
On the booked day, the user can extend the scheduled session, if the instrument is available and press STOP the actual time the session ends.
Multiple sessions, longer than 8 hours in total during the day-time in the same week will be subject to instrument’s availability, and scheduled in coordination with the Center manager.
During night hours, weekends (Friday-Saturday), and holidays there is no limit on session length, or on the number of booked sessions.
Sessions can be canceled up to 24 hours ahead of time.
If the user does not show up for the session or does not press the START button, the user will be charged for a full session.
Users who do not work on the instrument for a period of 6 months will be blocked and will be required to attend a refresh session to renew the user license.
It is the responsibility of the users to inform the Center’s manager and the Center’s administrative assistant by email, of any problem that arises with the registration system, no later than the end of the day.
Cancellation less than 24 hours ahead of time is not possible, and the full session time will be charged.
Users who worked less than 50% of the booked slot will be charged for a full session.
In cases of partial usage of the booked session, 50% of the booked time or the actual working time will be charged – whichever is longer.
Cancellation of unused slots will be subject to Center’s manager approval, once the user notifies the Center’s manager by email by the end of the same day. Otherwise, the entire booked session will be charged.
